When working with a press brake, some operating errors may occur. At this time you need to pay attention: once the press brake has a problem, it must be checked. The first step of the inspection is to check whether the die used by the press brake is worn or damaged. If the error is caused by this phenomenon, a die can be replaced.
During the inspection of the press brake, if no damaged phenomenon is found, check the parallelism between the slide and the worktable. If it does not meet the usage requirements, it can be adjusted according to the relevant standard requirements so that this parallelism can be kept within the allowable range.
If there is still a certain error in the angle of the press brake workpiece, it may not be caused by the die or the parallelism problem. It may be that in the hydraulic system of the machine, the balancing mechanism fails to ensure that pressure oil enters the left and right cylinders evenly — in that case, adjustment is needed.
At this time, switch the working mode of the press brake to the “jog adjustment” state, then remove the die or other accessories from the machine, so that the slide can rest on the mechanical stop block, and then set the pressure gauge to the required pressure value.
The specific method is: compress the dial gauge head by 3–4 mm, step on the foot pedal to let the system build pressure. While the press brake system is building pressure or releasing load, check the deflection of the dial gauge needle; when it reaches the specified value, you can stop the operation. Of course, in addition to the above methods, what should be emphasized is that the press brake must be well maintained so that it can give full play to its greatest advantages.
