The specifications of a slitting machine mainly refer to its technical parameters, including processing sheet thickness, processing sheet width, number of slitting strips, slitting speed and uncoiling weight. These are relatively general. If the equipment parameters are classified, they can be divided into: raw material parameters (material, sheet thickness, sheet width, coil inner and outer diameter, coil weight, etc.), finished product parameters (strip inner diameter, strip outer diameter, strip width, recoiling weight and strip straightness, etc.), and equipment parameters (mainly the number of slitting strips, slitting speed and total equipment power, etc.).
The cutter shaft of the slitting machine is supported by high-precision machine tool spindle bearings, giving small axial and radial runout. The cutter discs are locked with a three-point positioning nut system, providing accurate dimensional precision and reliable locking. The machine can run independently or in full-line linkage. Equipped with an electromagnetic speed control device, the slitting speed is easy to adjust and the working reliability is high. The uncoiler and recoiler adopt hydraulic expanding mandrels with hydraulic rotary joints, and the cantilever end is provided with auxiliary support for good rigidity. All main actions of this production line adopt hydraulic forms — smooth and reliable movement, low noise, and convenient maintenance. With dual slitting heads, the minimum strip width is 30 mm, the maximum number of strips can reach 12, and the strip thickness range is 0.3–1.0 mm.
The slitting machine and cut-to-length line are used to process metal coils through uncoiling, leveling, length setting and shearing into flat sheets of the required length, then stacking them. They are suitable for processing cold-rolled and hot-rolled carbon steel, silicon steel, tinplate, stainless steel and various surface-coated metal materials. The slitting and cut-to-length production line mainly consists of a loading trolley, uncoiler, leveler, feeding mechanism, shearing machine, conveying device and stacking device. A slitting machine can be configured in the line to cut the sheet into the required widths, then cut to length and stack. Disk-blade slitting is used for thicker sheets. Because the male and female blades require a clearance fit, the cutting width tolerance is relatively strict and can be guaranteed. The minimum overlap of the male and female blades increases as the material becomes thicker. When slitting silicon steel sheets on a cut-to-length line, the male blade, female blade and the workpiece must meet at a single point for shearing; otherwise, if the material contacts the male or female blade first, the cutting quality will deteriorate.
